b.      This month was a holiday pizza party and the club treasury paid for the meal.

4.      President’s report (Fritz WD8E).

a.       80 Phone expansion - Discussion about new band allocations/changes going into effect on 12/15/2006 and creating a new net.

5.      Treasurer’s report as posted on the web (John W8NM).

6.      Committee reports

a.       Web site update (Mark K8MTR).

7.      Unfinished business

a.       40 meter net (Jack K8CTO) - Delay update until January 2007 meeting since Jack not present at the meeting.

b.      Future special event and traffic handling station (Bob NR8U).

·        Bob NR8U provided an update on his findings so far for what we believe to be “Newark’s first amateur radio operator”.  Carl G. Howard 8AGF, then 8BBZ. Bob to continue research. 

·        Also discussed a future special event station to commemorate.

c.       80-meter net (Eldon W5UHQ) - Eldon W5UHQ proposed the idea of adding an 80m net once the new band allocations go into effect. More in January.

8.      New business 

a.       John W8UL working on presentations for how to configure a Winlink station.

b.      ARES district re-alignment changes for Ohio to go into effect 1/1/2007.

a.       Drawing - John W8NM was the December 2006 winner of the World Radio magazine subscription.
