a. Web site update (Mark K8MTR) -- Mark to add 5th Wednesday (January 31, 2007) Net to the website. This month will be 2m USB 144.150
7. Unfinished business
a. 40 meter net (Jack K8CTO) -- After experimenting for the last couple of months, Jack reported that a formal CW net will probably not work as most of the contacts are 1-to-1 anyway. As a result, the “net” will be changed to a “meeting place” for CW enthusiasts to make contacts. Saturdays and Sundays at 21:00, freq: 7.110 +/- QRM.
b. Future Carl Howard special event and traffic handling station (Bob NR8U).
i. 8AGF was Carl’s first call sign. We would like to plan for a July special event station to commemorate Carl.
ii. Any COOKEN member would be able to use W8TNX at their home station if desired.
iii. Need to keep records of contacts for reporting purposes.
iv. An event station script will be developed for anyone interested in participating.
v. Can be any type of event, any band, mode, etc. (Within reason).
vi. Need to develop locations for Saturday station.
c. 80 meter net (Eldon W5UHQ) -- Eldon W5UHQ was unable to attend today’s meeting, but provided an update to Fritz WD8E via email. Looking at frequency range: 3810 - 3815 as target for net. More info to follow.
d. Johnny Clem special event station -- Fritz WD8E indicated we are planning for an August special event station again this year. More info to follow.
8. New business
